Morgan Lewis to target Saudi Arabia in Freshfields Islamic finance hire

Tarek El-Assra, global head of Islamic finance at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, is moving to Morgan Lewis & Bockius. He will help the firm to focus on the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

He will be working on global finance, debt capital markets and restructuring from the Dubai office and in collaboration with other Morgan Lewis offices. His clients include, according to Morgan Lewis, 'major financial institutions and corporate and family offices in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia'.
