Paul Napoli has alleged that his co-founder Marc Bern used prostitutes and engaged in a liason with a member of staff at the firm's Christmas party. The attacks came after Mr Bern took over management of the personal injury practice in May after Mr Napoli was diagnosed with leukemia. Mr Bern claimed that there were financial irregularities at the firm and Mr Napoli then sued Mr Bern for breach of contract as well as launching a number of personal attacks on Mr Bern. A judge appointed a receiver to oversee the firm's finances and maintain the status quo. The judge threatened to charge Mr Napoli with contempt of court when he fired a partner by text. Mr Bern's lawyer said that the personal attacks were a 'smoke screen' to divert attention. Source: New York Post
