The information on the conversations between Boston-based Nixon Peabody and Philadelphia-based Blank Rome comes from 'a third source with direct knowledge of the talks', according to Reuters. Blank Rome's managing partner Alan Hoffman would not confirm or deny any details but did say that no merger was imminent. He added: 'I talk to firms all the time. I heard one rumour that we're going to merge with Nixon Peabody in January and that's completely false. We are not on the verge of merging with anybody.' Source: Reuters
