NBC New York reports that Bernard Bey, 32, filed the self-written lawsuit earlier this month, stating that his parents had caused him mental anguish after making him feel ‘unloved and beaten by the world’. Aspiring rapper Mr Bey told the news channel: ‘If you have kids, you're expected to love your children. ‘You want the best for your children.’
Mr Bey, who ran away from home aged 12, is asking for more than $200,000 in damages for the physical and emotional abuse he allegedly suffered. According to the report, he wants his parents to mortgage their family home and purchase two franchises like Domino's Pizza.

Mr Bey’s parents, who live in public housing, said they're not in a position to give up any money. Meanwhile, his stepfather named in the suit, Bernard Manley, made some unprintable comments and maintained that Mr Bey is not his biological son.
Mr Bey said he is willing to drop the lawsuit if his family will simply sit down at the dinner table with him.
