Norton Rose Fulbright has made up 39 new partners globally, the firm’s smallest promotions round since its US merger in 2013.

The US has seen the most promotions by region, with 14 new partners across the firm’s New York, Houston, Dallas, Austin, and Los Angeles offices.

Banking and finance and dispute resolution are seeing the most partners made up, with 13 and 12 respectively, while the firm’s corporate, M&A and securities group has six new partners, IP three, tax and real estate two and employment one.

In total 12 women were made up, accounting for 31 per cent of the new partners. The percentage is slightly lower than last year, when 37 per cent of the 51 made partner were women.

Legacy Norton Rose’s merger with Houston energy firm Fulbright & Jaworski in June 2013 created a firm with total revenues of £1.3bn. The firm last year posted global revenue of $1.792bn (£1.118bn), a 3.2 per cent decrease on its 2013/14 turnover of $1.851bn.
