Steve Mark will leave the position in August and he intends to set to start a private consultancy, according to Lawyers Weekly.

Confusion

Mr Mark told the website that he saw an opportunity to help firms improve their ‘ethical infrastructure’ amid widespread confusion over issues related to social media, outsourcing and mergers.
‘You can increase profits, decrease pressures on staff ... as well as have high ethical standards; there is no direct clash between profits and ethics, but there is a clash between ethics and greed,’ Mr Mark added.
Mr Mark went on to identify the billable hour as a key factor in holding the profession back.
