Judge Mark Mihok then sentenced Durrell Brooks to three days in jail, according to Ohio’s NewsNet5.
Mr Brooks had been attending the trial of a woman accused of a traffic violation, when he approached the bench to inform the judge that he had insurance on the car in question. However, as he turned around the judge spotted his low-riding attire
and did not hesitate to order his arrest.
‘I think he was a little shocked and upset,’ said the judge. He added that it was the third time in the last month he had sent someone to gaol for their clothing, not just as a matter of decorum, but because he wants all those who come into his courtroom, including the elderly and teenagers, to feel safe.
