A team from Pavia e Ansaldo stepped in to assist the ALDA following a decision taken by the European Commission to exclude the Association from a tender process for the EU award procedure EuropeAid ‘Raising public awareness of development issues and promoting development education in the European Union.’ A consortium of 58 other institutions and unions from across the European Union that was represented by the Association as lead-applicant were also excluded.
However, with the assistance of a team led by Pavia e Ansaldo partner Filippo Fioretti (pictured), the ALDA successfully convinced the EC of the consortium’s compliance with all elements of the award procedure and obtained from the Commission a re-admission to the tender process, as well as a declaration of the absence of the initially alleged grounds for excluding the ALDA-led consortium. Mr Fioretti was assisted in this matter by fellow Pavia e Ansaldo partner Mario Giustiniani and associate Maria Rosaria Raspanti.
