Peerpoint freelance lawyer service aims for team of 100 in Asia

Allen & Overy has recruited an Asian head of its Peerpoint service, who is to begin immediately to locate lawyers to work in the region.

Tony Corcoran, a former lawyer at the firm, is planning to build up a team of some 100 lawyers over the next three years. He will be based in Sydney. The firm says it has already seen strong demand from Hong Kong in the 12 months since it launched there.

Banking demand

Peerpoint was launched in Europe two years ago and now operates through a panel of 100 consultants. A year into its client service, Peerpoint now has consultants working with 10 of the firm's major global banking clients. Source: A&O
