Mr Kay joins from recruitment communications, advertising and resourcing company TMP Worldwide, where he was director of business development.
Changing management style
The appointment represents a change towards a more corporate style of management for the division, which has been more successful than Pinsents anticipated since its launch in 2013 and now has 200 freelance lawyers working on various assignments.
Further appointments
Increasing demand has also led to a further appointment to the Vario team, with Lyndsey Meredith appointed as account manager in January and further additions to the team expected later this year.
