Pinsent Masons invests in automatic compliance-checking company

The UK-based international firm has taken a majority stake in Cerico, a cloud-based seller of e-training and compliance products, and will move the business into its offices on August 1.

The 350-partner firm offers automatically performed compliance checks in multiple jurisdictions on suppliers through Cerico products. Cerico can automatically check compliance with anti-corruption legislation and health and safety rules, for instance. 

Heavy lifting

Head of Cerico Richard Masters said: 'We’ve been in start-up mode over the past 24 months, and during that time have seen real and sustained demand for a solution which takes the heavy lifting out of the compliance burden for general counsel.' Source: The Lawyer
