Brodies and Pinsents head Scottish league tables

With 350 fee earners, Brodies is the largest Scottish law firm - 10 % larger than Pinsent Masons, and 36% larger than the third largest practice, Maclay Murray & Spens.

Aberdeen

The tables from Business Insider magazine show Brodies growing 5.7% in terms of fee-earner numbers over the year to 2014. It also has the largest number of partners among Scottish firms - growing from 77 to 81 over the year to 2014.

Dundas

Fee-earner growth at Pinsents has been slower - up 3% in the year. It had 69 partners, just one more than in the year before. Maclay Murray is shown as having 258 fee-earners, a 10% fall on the year before. The fourth-ranked firm, Dundas & Wilson, is shown as having 251 fee-earners - 16% fewer than the total shown for the year before. It merged in with international firm CMS Cameron McKenna in May 2014. 

Aberdeen

Aberdein Considine is listed as the largest Aberdeen-based practice. Based in what has become a hub for the oil industry, it says it is 'committed to growing again this year through both structured and organic growth'. Source: Business Insider and Aberdein Considine
