The first hire to be announced is Simon Rickman, who joins as head of operations from TMP Worldwide. His first job at Vario will be to hire six new recruits across a variety of roles in operations and resourcing, the majority of whom will be based in Birmingham. He will split his time between the Midlands and London.
Vario is also planning to hire a further two senior members to its account management team in the coming months.

Vario director Matthew Kay commented: ‘We have experienced significant growth – our hub of 250 lawyers is growing all the time, we’re seeing more and more demand from clients for contract lawyers and it became essential for us to increase our operational capacity to meet this need.’
