David Rennick is due to step down from Maddocks on Christmas Eve, leave the partnership at the end of February and begin at Pinsents in March. According to Lawyers Weekly, Maddocks and Pinsents also talked merger possibilities but did not come to an agreement. There is understood to have been insufficient support among Maddocks partners.
