Pinsents set to launch in Australia

UK-based Pinsent Masons is planning an Australia launch in March 2014 and has recruited the CEO of law firm Maddocks to begin the process.

David Rennick is due to step down from Maddocks on Christmas Eve, leave the partnership at the end of February and begin at Pinsents in March. According to Lawyers Weekly, Maddocks and Pinsents also talked merger possibilities but did not come to an agreement. There is understood to have been insufficient support among Maddocks partners. Pinsents, based in London, has 1,500 lawyers worldwide operating from the best part of 20 offices. Source: Lawyers Weekly
