San Francisco Assistant Public Defender Jami Tillotson was instantly arrested when she tried to stop a police officer from questioning her client. The veteran lawyer was in a courtroom when it was brought to her attention that the policeman was talking to the client. When she intervened, pointing out that it was wrong to question someone without their lawyer despite knowing that the man had legal representation, she was threatened and found herself in handcuffs.
