Speechly Bircham and Charles Russell have announced their prelimary merger discussions, saying that the move would bring together two firms with complementary practices in the commercial, real estate and private wealth arenas. The announcement also mentioned international aspirations. Speechly Bircham was in merger talks with private client firm Withers last year but the talks ended after partners voted against.
