The mean score in July is said to be 139.9, down on the 141.5 mean in July 2014 and down again on the 144.3 mean registered in July 2013. There have been claims that law schools are lowering their admission standards as a way of recruiting candidates. Some of the more able students are said to be put off entering the profession by the difficult prospects for many law graduates.
