Capital Legal Services has opened in Helsinki and is hiring two senior lawyers to target international companies based in the region. Managing partner Vladislav Zabrodin said there was a great opportunity to do business with local firms which did not have a presence in Russia. ‘There is significant interest from Finnish firms which are not going to open in Russia,’ he said, adding that the new office would make it easier to connect with Russia. He added that there was many American, Japanese and Korean companies which had set up in Finland as a stepping stone to Russia.
Tomas Lindholm
The firm had begun talking to Lindholm Wallgren last year about leasing offices last October. However, founding partner Tomas Lindholm, who was a high profile international lawyer, passed away suddenly in January 2014. The firm has subsequently rented space from Lindholm Wallgren.
