The minister also quoted statistics showing that the numbers of Singapore law students studying in Britain is up 124 per cent on 2010, rising from 510 to 1,142.
Tempering expectations
The minister said: ‘The study of law provides an excellent training of the mind, so I don't want to be seen as discouraging people... but you have to have a realistic understanding of the market, the economy, the total structure’. He urged aspiring lawyers to temper their expectations in terms of salary and career and even to consider the possibility of taking other roles. Source: Straits Times
