Sound issues look set to rise up privacy agenda, says French regulator

Issues relating to sound recordings could become more of an issue - especially in the context of the camera and audio recording equipment carried by drones, according to the French privacy regulator in an interview with the Robotics Law Journal.

In an interview with the journal, Edouard Geffray, general secretary of CNIL, the French privacy body, says that sound recording by drones is now 'a point of vigilance'. He expects that sound issues will 'probably' become more prominent in the drone data privacy debate.
