Dunton Rainville loses lawyers after illegal party financing scandal Alphonse Tran

Two ex-employees, Pierre Lambert and Jean Bertrand, were arrested in May and accused of illegal party financing in Quebec. When Mr Lambert appeared before the Charbonneau Commission inquiry to give evidence he admitted taking illegal cash donations and hiding them in a storage unit. He handed more than Can $720,000 to the Commission's investigators, saying that it was all that was left from a total of $2 million which he had hidden for the party. Mr Bertrand confessed to being complicit as well. The Montreal Gazette says that several people at Dunton Rainville have left recently - including lawyers Rino Soucy, Jolaine Charbonneau and Martin Marceau.
