Top Norwegian lawyers back Snowden for Nobel Peace Prize
The former head of Norway's Data Protection Authority, George Apeness, and 19 other top lawyers, have backed a proposal to give this year's Nobel Peace Prize to Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency employee-turned-whistleblower.

The Norwegian chapter of the International Commission of Jurists has now backed the letter of the 20 lawyers, in which Mr Snowden is nominated. Jennifer Leigh Bailey, American politics professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, said: ‘It could be a positive thing to show the world that it's not only Chinese dissidents who receive the Nobel Peace Prize, but also American ones.’ Source: World Bulletin
