UK law firms become more confident

Confidence within UK law firms has risen to its highest level in seven years - as eight out of 10 practices say they are confident about the next 12 months.

A year ago, only six out of ten firms declared themselves to be confident in this way. Research from accountancy firm Smith & Williamson, based on a survey of 102 law firms, also shows that trading conditions are seen as becoming tougher and more competitive.
