US law students struggle to find legal work

Nine months after graduation, only 57 per cent of law graduates have found full-time, long-term work in the legal sector, according to the American Bar Association.

But the statistics vary from school to school. The University of Pennsylvania Law School, for example, saw 86 per cent of its graduates find such a post. The school thinks that a part of its success lies in providing practical experience to its pupils.
