US legaltech firm Litera is opening in Denver, its eighth new office in North America over the past year.
The Denver office will be officially unveiled on 22 April at a ceremony attended by its chief technology officer Greg Ingino and executive vice president Priyanka Singh. The office is located at the Triangle Building in downtown Denver.
The office will serve as a key hub for engineering and innovation, where it will house 50 new employees. Recent vacancy advertisements for the Denver base have included positions for a senior full stack engineer and a power BI engineer.
Litera assists lawyers with document drafting and proofreading, alongside deal management for transactions such as mergers. The company says it currently serves 15,000 global clients and 2.3 million users on a daily basis.
Ingino said: “Opening our Denver office reflects Litera’s continued investment in the people and teams building the future of legal AI. Denver offers a strong talent base, and we’re excited to grow our presence here.”
Chicago-based Litera, which was founded in 1995, has opened branches in Chicago, Boston, Austin, Raleigh, Philadelphia and Toronto during the past year. The most recent office opening was in New Jersey back in October.
Litera says that it expects to continue opening offices as the company grows, and that its expansion has been fuelled by heightened client demand for its legal AI platform.
The firm has also expanded by completing 18 acquisitions. Its most recent investments have included the purchase of software firm Peppermint Technology in February last year and UK legal document platform Office & Dragons in November 2024. The latter was the first acquisition following Avaneesh Marwaha joining the company as CEO.
In July 2024 it also added governance and records management platform FileTrails.
