Vietnam firms create country's first legal alliance

Five local legal practices in Vietnam have got together to create the LawTeam Alliance - and they expect to announce the arrival of other 'major local law firms' to the group.

The five jointly run to 200 lawyers and include Rajah & Tann LCT, the Vietnamese arm of the Singapore-based practice that is one of the best known in Asia. The others are Bross & Partners, LuatViet, Phuoc & Partners and VLT Lawyers.

Local legal market

The firms will continue to operate as independent entities and the alliance will work 'solely on a goodwill basis built on fair competition'. An aim of the alliance is that of 'furthering the development of the local legal market'. The members of the alliance intend to help each other on training and by sharing other resources.
