Weber to resign as Minter Ellison chief exec

John Weber, who has been chief executive partner at Minter Ellison for nearly five year, is not seeking re-appointment when the term ends on 30 June.

It is not yet clear whether he will complete the term of office or stand down earlier. He said: 'I am proud to have led Minter Ellison for the last five years and wish all my colleagues every success in the future. I am planning on having a portfolio of interests, including board and related appointments.'  Global recruiter Egon Zehnder has been hired to find a successor for the law firm, with an announcement expected in February.
