Ashurst announces formal alliance in Singapore

Ashurst has entered into a formal law alliance (FLA) in Singapore with ADTLaw, formerly ADTvance Law following approval from the city-state's Legal Services Regulatory Authority.

The deal brings the Ashurst headcount to over 40 in the city. ADT Law was founded by Dawn Tan in 2013 who was previously a partner at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP.  The alliance will be known as Ashurst ADTLaw. The nine-lawyer team advises on disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and finance deals. Mr Tan had also previously been a deputy trade director at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Other directors are former Allen & Overy associated Lifen Tang whp specialises in financing transactions and Ashurst project finance partner Patrick Phua, who has joined as an associate director.
