Mr Stewart is the latest legal practitioner to join JAMS International's freelance arbitration platform. In 2014, the dispute resolution specialist unexpectedly stepped down from the helm of law firm Olswang, mid-way through his three-year term as chief executive. Now, Mr Stewart will serve on JAMS' panels in London, New York and Miami, while also retaining his position at Caribbean law firm Griffiths & Partners. Additionally, he will be tasked with building JAMS' presence in the Caribbean dispute resolution market.
Avoiding client conflicts
JAMS' global network of freelance mediation and arbitration specialists is designed to offer high-quality dispute resolution services to parties spread across multiple jurisdictions. Mr Stewart will be reunited on JAMS' roster with former Olswang head of arbitration Andrew Aglionby, who joined the platform early last year.
