Andrea Orlando said: ‘There has never been such an ambitious approach. All the thorniest issues that could be tackled without constitutional changes are in the horizon of our reform.’  The government plans to introduce mandatory mediation (as a way of encouraging speedier, less costly resolution of cases), a swifter e-filing system for court documents and a cut in judicial holidays from 45 to 30 days a year. The slowness of the Italian courts is seen as a significant disadvantage to investing in the country by many multi-nationals. Source: Financial Times
