Jackson Lewis to assess lawyers on efficiency

The 780-lawyer firm Jackson Lewis is to evaluate its 300 associates on the basis of efficiency, client service and other measures rather than for hours billed.

Responsiveness, being a team player and pro bono commitments will also be included int eh evaluation process when the new system begins in 2015. The firm used to require associates to put in 1,900 hours or more in a year to be included in the annual productivity bonus. Source: ABA
