Jimmy Choo gets ready to float

The flotation of luxury fashion company Jimmy Choo has seen a glittering line-up of London law firms in the line-up.

Luxury shoe maker Jimmy Choo is heading for an October flotation on the London Stock Exchange. The company is being represented by Hogan Lovells with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Clifford Chance (CC) and Linklaters also securing mandates on the listing. Christopher Mort of Freshfields is representing private equity firm, JAB Luxury, owners of the British brand, which wants to sell 25 per cent  of the company at around £700m ($1.14bn). Capital markets partner Adrian Cartwright of Clifford Chance is advising Bank of America Merrill Lynch and HSBC which are acting as joint bookrunners on the IPO, with BHF-BANK taking the role of co-lead manager. Hogan Lovells had earlier advised Labelux when it acquired Jimmy Choo for an estimated cost of £500m from TowerBrook Capital Partners.
