Linklaters managing partner in mandate to review Lloyds Bank legal function

According to bank insiders, Linklaters managing partner Simon Davies may have received a mandate to review Lloyds Bank's legal function as one of his first tasks in his new role as chief people, legal and strategy officer.

The Lawyer magazine reports that, following a conference call to all legal staff by general counsel Kate Cheetham that aimed to explain changes to the legal department following Mr Davies’ arrival, members of the legal team at Lloyds have expressed concern that he could have been authorised to review the legal function generally as well as the strategy and HR aspects of the department. One insider said that the process could begin before Mr Davies joins in January 2016. Source: The Lawyer
