The survey, conducted by Citibank Private, interviewed leaders at 153 United States-base law firms, 66 of which were a member of the AmLaw 100. While the economic mood among legal leadership remains subdued, Citibank’s survey uncovered glimmers of optimism. Around 34 per cent of respondents said they expected demand for their firm’s services to increase by less than 2 per cent, while 27 per cent predicted increases between 2 per cent and up 5 per cent. Only 11 per cent of respondents said they expected lower demand in 2017.
