Historic attitudes favouring globalisation are fundamentally changing....
Eric Zimmerman, a healthcare lobbyist, leads the seven-person team for the new lobbying group which is called McDermott + Consulting and is part of the 450-person Washington office of the firm. The freedom not to account for their time by the hour has helped the team win new kinds of work, he says. Similarly, the consultancy team has more credibility when it applies for data analysis work, in his view. He says: ‘Our clients would’ve been dubious of a law firm being able to do deep data analysis. It’s not the kind of thing you typically go to a law firm to provide. Sometimes you can more effectively market those services simply by branding yourself differently.’ Source: Washington Post
