Eversheds has confirmed the hire of longtime Nabarro construction litigation partner Jonathan Douglas. An expert in power and energy projects with a specialist focus on offshore wind farms, Mr Douglas has worked at Nabarro for the last 16 years and was promoted to the firm’s partnership in 2005. He has extensive experience in high-value litigation and arbitration and served as Nabarro’s divisional managing partner for disputes prior to joining Eversheds. Mr Douglas was also a member of Nabarro’s partnership board and executive group.

Continuing to grow

Eversheds global construction and engineering practice head Simon Oats said: ‘The addition of a disputes lawyer of Jonathan’s standing is key to our continuing development in the UK and internationally.’ The firm’s construction and engineering practice group has been enjoying steady year-on-year growth despite partner exits elsewhere in the firm. Eversheds lost nine lawyers (including four partners) in a real estate team hire by King & Wood Mallesons in April last year, less than 18 months after three other former Eversheds real estate partners also defected to KWM.
