Quinn Emanuel has announced the opening of an office in Boston. Three partners from the firm’s New York office, Steven Cherny, Patrick Curran and Sandra Bresnick,  will head up the new venture. All three are IP litigators with deep ties to the Boston area. Managing partner John Quinn said: 'We have been looking at Boston for a long time. We are convinced there is a market for a top tier litigation-only firm that is relatively free of the conflicts which full service firms have.  Boston is also a high-tech hotbed and we have one of the best IP litigation practices in the country and many clients in the area.' Commenting on the new location, Steve Cherny said: 'For Pat Curran, Sandra Bresnick, and me it is literally going home. We are looking forward to a shorter commute and building a world class office.'  Quinn Emanuel has 21 offices globally.
