Sheree Whitfield, who features on Bravo network’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, claimed that local law firm Weinstock & Scavo had over-charged when it represented her as she divorced former US football player Bob Whitfield in 2007. Ms Whitfield handed the lawyers about $69,000, but the firm reckoned that was about $100,000 less than its advice was worth, and sued for the outstanding fees some three years later.

And within the last few days, according the celebrity gossip web site TMZ, a local court has backed the firm, ordering the reality star not only to stump up the balance, but also to chuck in interest to boot.
The story prompted Mack Rawden, of fellow celebrity web site Pop Blend, to comment: ‘I haven’t the slightest idea why anyone would consider messing with their attorneys. Not only do they know their way around the courtroom, it only costs them time to push legal matters, as opposed to the money their former clients must spend to hire new lawyers. For her sake, I hope Sheree doesn’t have any reason to go to court for a while.’
