Eastman Kodak has appointed a new general counsel Julien Hautcoeur

Eastman Kodak has promoted its deputy general counsel Sharon Underberg to general counsel. Ms Underberg replaces Patrick Sheller and will have responsiblity for the company's legal functions as well as giving legal advice to executives. She has worked for the company for 25 years. The company said that Sheller 'has decided to leave the company to pursue a new opportunity.'

Pharmaceutical company Ipsen has hired Francois Garnier as its general counsel from 5 January 2015. He was previously Chief Counsel (outside the US) for Pfizer which he joined in France in 2003 as general counsel, becoing Chief Counsel for Pfizer's operations in Europe until 2014.  He succeeds Nathalie Joannes who is changing direction in her career.

Telecoms services company PCTel has appointed Shelley Bacastow as its new general counsel. She will replace Varda Goldman who is stepping down as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Ms Goldman will serve as the company’s Vice President, Legal Transition Officer during 2015 and consult on a variety of matters. She will retire from PCTEL at the end of 2015. Shelley Bacastow, who has been the company’s Assistant General Counsel, will be promoted to Vice President and General Counsel on 1 January 2015. Mrs. Goldman joined PCTEL as the company made its transition from an analog modem vendor to a global wireless technology company. 

Clydesdale Bank has appointed James Pierson as its UK general counsel. Mr Pierson replaces Jennifer Darbyshire who has taken up a post in the bank's parent company National Australia Bank in Australia. She previously worked for Mallesons in Melbourne and Linklaters in London. 

Flash memory storage company SanDisk has appointed Mark Brazeal as its new chief legal officer. He was senior deputy general counsel at tech company Broadcom
