American Express has named Laureen E. Seeger as executive vice president general counsel. Gordon Bell

American Express has named Laureen E. Seeger as executive vice president general counsel. Ms Seeger joins the company from McKesson Corporation, where she led the law, public affairs, compliances and corporate secretary functions. She has served as executive vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer of McKesson since 2006 after orginally joining the company in 2000. Before joining McKesson, Ms Seeger was a member of the Atlanta-based firm Manning & Martin LLP, where she served as a commericial litigation partner and chaired the technology litigation group. She will replace Louise M Parent, who retired last year after a 37-year career with American Express. 

Paul Perea has been named Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.'s managing director and general counsel in Houston. Mr Perea had been a partner with the Baker Botts law firm, where he spexialized in mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings. He earned a bachelor's degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin and a law degree from Vanderbilt Law Schook, and will be the company's first-ever general counsel.

Brocade has named Ellen O'Donnell as general counsel and the head of the company's global legal department. She will report to Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Carney as a member of the company's executive staff. Ms O'Donnell has a background in corporate governance and diverse industry experience from working in corporate legal departments and law firms with entreprenurial ventures. She has worked as SVP and general counsel at Micromuse and associate general counsel at LucasArts.

Katja Tammelin has been appointed as general counsel for Innofactor plc. Ms Tammelin has worked in law firms such as Bird & Bird, Hannes Snellman and Hammarström Puhakka Partners. She has a Masters of Law degree from Stockholm University and she passed the bar exam in Finland. She is Innofactor's first-ever general counsel.

DuPont has named Stacy Fox as general counsel, effective 1 October. Ms Fox most currently served under Michigan's Governor Rick Snyder as deputy emergency manager of Detroit. She is a founder and principal of the Roxbury group, and she previously held the position of general counsel and secretary at Sunoco. She is replacing Thomas Sager, who is retiring after 37 years of working for DuPont.
