The chief counsel of Levi Strauss is switching to the health sector. Castlight Health has recruited Jennifer W Chaloemtiarana to act as GC and Chief Compliance Officer. Before Levi Strauss, Ms Chaloemtiarana was associate GC at Netflix. 

The Futures Industry Association (FIA) in the US is saying good-bye to Barbara Wierzynski, its GC, at the end of 2014. She has been at the trade association for 28 years. She will be replaced by her deputy, Allison Lurton, from 1 January. Ms Lurton founded the Covington & Burling derivatives team before joining the FIA. 

Worldpay, the payment processing business, is appointing Mark Edwards as its new group GC. He takes over from Mark Chambers who is leaving the company after six years in the top legal position. Mr Edwards arrives from Barclays. He heads a 45-strong team in his new role. He worked at Simmons & Simmons before joining Barclays.

Inspira Health Network has appointed Matthew Doonan as GC. He was formerly in-house counsel at CHE Trinity Health, one of the largest non-profit health care systems in the US. 

Joseph Finkelstein,  previously a partner in Blank Rome, has joined Interstate Outdoor Advertising as GC and executive vice president. 

President Barack Obama has nominated Leigh A Bradley to be GC at the Department of Veterans Affairs. At the moment she is the Director of the Office of Standards of Conduct at the Office of the General Counsel in the US Department of Defense, in a position she has held for six years. She was a partner in Holland & Knight between 1998 and 2001.
