The basketball team Los Angeles Lakers hired Dan Grigsby to serve as general counsel, whilst former GC Jim Perzik has been promoted to senior VP.  Source: LA Times

David Sturgess has been promoted to senior VP, secretary, and general counsel of the design company Affinia Group Inc.  Sturgess has over 30 years’ experience as a lawyer in corporate and private practice arenas.  Source: After Markets

Swedish company Sandvik Group appointed Åsa Thunman to executive VP and GC of Sandvik Mining.  Sandvik also announced that Scot Smith will be its new president. Sandvik president and CEO Olof Faxander said: ‘Both Åsa Thunman and Scot Smith have extensive experience from relevant industries and companies.’  Source: Wall Street Journal
