An in-house lawyer was sentenced to 40 years imprisonment after he admitted stealing $9 million from a Texas crane company. Anthony Chiofalo created a fictitious law firm, which he would pay cheques to, allowing him to purchase an array of collectibles. He is said to have bought a copy of the first issue of Playboy and a signed first-edition of Mario Puzo’s novel ‘The Godfather’, as well as a first-edition copy of Batman which was worth just under a million dollars.
