Dr. Oliver Sieg

Dr. Oliver Sieg heads Noerr’s Corporate Litigation practice group. Until recently, he has also been a co-head of the Dispute Resolution department as a whole. Oliver’s practice focuses on insurance-related disputes, where he has considerable experience in acting both for and against insurers. Oliver has been instrumental in shaping the development of insurance law in Germany and is often asked to lecture and publish in this sphere. He regularly represents clients in complex cross-border disputes, most recently in connection with disputes before English, U.S. and Turkish courts. Notwithstanding Oliver’s particular strengths in insurance-related disputes, he also boasts an impressive track record of representing clients in corporate law and commercial disputes. He frequently represents clients both in state court and arbitral proceedings and is able to draw on his extensive cross-border experience when these disputes involve an international element. Likewise, he is frequently appointed as arbitrator and expert in such highly complex international arbitrations.
