Emma is UK Head of Data Protection at CMS, with over 25 years’ experience advising high-profile international clients on data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and IT law. She is recognised for a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and advises across a wide range of sectors. She has contributed to leading industry bodies, including the CBI, the City of London Law Society Data Committee and the Financial Markets Law Committee’s European Data Protection Reforms Working Group. Emma sits on the editorial board of Lexis PSL, advising on data protection, cyber and AI matters. She regularly leads complex, cross-jurisdictional privacy programmes and is frequently instructed on board-level matters, regulatory enforcement, AI compliance and high-profile data breach incidents.
