Jaquiline is an Associate Partner at Birungyi, Barata & Associates and heads the firm’s research and training department. She has over twelve years’ experience in tax and legal practice and is a registered tax agent with the URA. She is keen on matters of tax advisory, litigation, consultancy, and policy. She has successfully handled the firm’s key tax consultancy assignments including Domestic Resource Mobilisation in Uganda, harmonisation of tax laws in East Africa, and taxing the informal sector in Malawi. She recently completed a Research and Development programme with the International Centre for Tax and Development.
