His work focuses on complex merger notifications and investigations of per se and relative monopolistic practices. He has broad experience across diverse industries including chemicals, energy, oil and gas, consumer products, financial services and in land transport of passengers. Michel worked for Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), where he handled midstream and downstream investigation procedures in the oil and gas industry. He also participated in investigations initiated by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to detect possible collusion in the highway infrastructure industry in Colombia. He has represented clients in cartel proceedings, merger notifications, leniency applications and governmental investigations of barriers to entry, market regulation, essential facilities and in dominance proceedings.
