Paolo Giacometti is a partner at Chiomenti specialising in tax law and tax planning. He advises Italian and international clients on the tax aspects of complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and cross-border restructurings. His practice also covers international taxation, transfer pricing, the taxation of investment funds and financial products, as well as wealth structuring for individuals, families and family offices, including trusts and estate planning. Paolo joined Chiomenti in 1998 and became a partner in 2006. Between 2003 and 2006 he worked in the firm’s New York office, assisting multinational corporations, financial institutions and private equity funds with investments and tax planning strategies related to Italy. He is admitted to practice before the Italian Tax Courts and holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University.
