CPA Global expands in China

The IP management company has selected Beijing as its headquarters, the third office it has opened in China.

Intellectual property (IP) management services and software CPA Global is to open an office in  Beijing. It is the Company’s third office in China, following earlier openings in Shenzhen and Shanghai. The Company also has offices in Hong Kong and Taipei. CPA Global Chief Executive Officer Tim Griffiths said: 'China’s IP market is undergoing substantial and rapid expansion with increasing demand both from corporations and law firms for high-quality IP software and support services. Beijing is a key center for IP as it is the headquarters for many of China’s largest companies and leading law firms as well as the centre of government. Our new Beijing office strengthens our presence and further extends our reach in China, enabling us to deliver our IP management solutions more effectively to clients.'

New head

Yifeng Song will head up the Beijing office. Prior to joining CPA Global, Mr Song was a consultant at PL Capital, a China-based private equity and asset management company. Previously, he worked at Thomson Reuters China in a series of management roles, most latterly as managing director for the Legal/Tax & Accounting business; and, before that, held senior positions with a number of other technology service providers.
