Legora and US contract management lifecycle firm Sirion have established a strategic partnership, in an agreement that will integrate its platform with Siron’s contract capabilities.
The Swedish legal tech giant said the collaboration will enable in-house legal teams to bring contractual and commercial content held in Sirion into Legora, and run Legora-powered legal research within Sirion, with existing Sirion access controls carried through to Legora.
The partnership is designed to bridge the gap between legal research and contract management, which have historically lived in separate systems, so that in-house teams no longer have to move information manually between platforms.
Max Junestrand, CEO of Legora, said: “By connecting Legora and Sirion, we’re bringing our customers’ contract repositories directly into the agentic operating system where legal work gets done, and helping them keep those contracts aligned with prevailing law.
“This is what enterprise-ready looks like: Legora meets legal teams inside the stack they already run, respects the permissions they’ve set, and takes them from a question about the law to action on a contract without switching platforms.”
The partnership will focus on four main areas: Mutual customers will be able to search for contracts provided by Sirion to find the relevant commercial terms, that are available on Legora’s platform; Legora will provide the legal research, with relevant legislation and case law, analysis and suggested contract amendments, to be reviewed by in-house lawyers; Sirion will lead the system of record for all draft and executed contracts; and Legora will recognise the access permissions that have been set up in Sirion without separate approval steps, where clients can see contracts they are authorised to review.
Ajay Agrawal, CEO of Sirion, commented: “Strong contracting depends on two things: the full commercial picture and a clear view of the law.
“With this partnership, Sirion users get Legora's legal research at every stage of contracting, and Legora users get the complete contract context that lives in Sirion. That's how enterprise legal teams deliver superior outcomes."
The partnership will be rolled out in phases beginning with select beta customers, with broader availability and additional capabilities expected for mutual customers over time.
Utah-based Sirion was founded in 2012. Its platform stores and organises documents and reads contracts using AI, alongside creating and reviewing contracts.
Legora's partnership with the company follows its forming a strategic partnership with US software firm Intapp in August, in a move intended to connect its platform with Intapp’s AI compliance capabilities.
The same month, Legora agreed to partner with content management intelligence provider Box to integrate their services where mutual customers have access to both platforms.
Earlier this week, the company said that use of its platform among UK law firms and in-house teams had more than tripled this year and that in-house legal teams are now its fastest-growing client group, accelerating at more than three times the rate of law firms.
The firm also expanded its in-house offerings with the introduction of its AI legal tool, Intake.
